To provide the most advanced care to patients with retinal and neuro-ophthalmic diseases. We strive to do so with compassion and allow time to educate patients and families about their conditions. We work closely with other specialty practices and vision rehabilitation services to provide patients with best possible diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
Patients are referred to our practice because a retinal or neuro-ophthalmic problem is suspected. Dr. Andracchi is dual fellowship trained in diagnosis and treatment of both medical retinal and neuro-ophthalmic conditions which allows our practice to be uniquely qualifed to address many problems which may be having an impact on vision.
We take great pride in giving our patients exceptional care by using advanced diagnostic techniques and providing a full explanation of the condition and plan for treatment in terms the patient and family can understand. We work with the patients’ referring physicians and when needed work closely with other physicians such as neurologists, rheumatologists and tertiary care centers to provide complete care for complex vision issues.
We use state of the art diagnostic equipment such as spectral domain OCT, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography and fundus autofluorescence photography to allow for accurate and prompt diagnosis. Patients can receive complete evaluation and have a treatment plan implemented often during their first office visit.
We treat retinal conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, central serous chorioretinopathy. Neuro-ophthalmic problems such as optic neuritis, double vision, visual field loss and papilledema are also addressed and treated through our practice. The practice philosophy relies on evidence based medicine and use of proven advanced techniques and medicaton effective for challenging retinal and neuro-ophthalmic conditions.
